You want complexity, creativity and all out hardcore furor? Check, check and...check. With each successive album, Atlanta, Georgia-based group Mastodon has raised the bar for itself with albums like 2004's Moby Dick themed Leviathan album to the heady, cryptic world of 2009's LP Crack the Skye. The former release represents new territory for Mastodon, as the album centers around on the Russian Czars, it represents one of the more involved piece of music it has recorded to date.

    October 20, 2014 8:00 PM

Chicago natives OK Go were formed in 1998 by childhood friends Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind who met at art camp when they were 11. Building up a reputation for catchy alternative-pop while playing as the house band for the television series This American Life, the band found fame with the release of its 2007 music video for "Here It Goes Again," which consisted entirely of a choreographed treadmill routine and received tremendous attention via YouTube. After garnering a Grammy for this video, the band had the world's attention and continues to create similarly catchy songs with creative videos today.
