With one of the longest discographies in the world of jazz music, Lewis Nash is a jazz drummer known for his be-bop and post-bop styles, as well as his ability to adapt to a wide range of genres. Originally from Phoenix, AZ he recorded his first record as bandleader, a studio album titled Rhythm in My Business, in 1989, and has since gone on to record and collaborate with a variety of artists including Toshiko Akiyoshi, Joe Lovano and Dizzy Gillespie. Nash joined six other future jazz legends, such as Peter Bernstein and Bill Charlap, in 2008 to form The Blue Note 7 in honor of Blue Note Records' 70th anniversary. He released his fourth album Stompin' At the Savoy, as bandleader in 2005, adding to the list of over 400 records he's appeared on.
