Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution was the brainchild of J. Seward Johnson, Sr. and Edwin Link. It is a marine study and research facility that is dedicated to the Indian River. The Indian River is a brackish lagoon that is teeming with life. The institution brings to the public the magic of the wildlife that thrives here. With high end technology and knowledge of the lagoon, the institution takes visitors out to experience it.
