    »Michael Somerville

    September 20, 2014 8:00 PM

8 PM shows are 18+ - 10:30 PM shows are 21+ - Tickets only held until showtime! Michael tried standup comedy on a dare while a student at the University of Notre Dame. He was soon emceeing Fighting Irish pep rallies and growing 70s style sideburns to do extra work in "Rudy". Upon graduation, he moved to New York City and took a job in advertising but, when his neck became irritated from shaving every day, retired to pursue comedy full time. His first job was dancing in a pink bear suit at a Bar Mitvah. He was hooked. Since then Michael has carved a unique niche in entertainment. A comedian, TV host, writer, advice guru … there isn’t much he doesn’t do. Michael wrote and hosted the reality show “Wingman”, imparts humorously insightful advice on the Hallmark Channel and just performed standup on The Late Show with David Letterman. He also serves as a panelist on various programs for VH1, Bravo and The History Channel and spent three years as Glamour Magazine’s renowned dating columnist “Jake”. Michael has hosted shows for Nickelodeon, Starz and Encore and contributed to numerous publications from Time Magazine to Maxim. His two comedy CD’s "Welcome to Somerville" and "Handsomely Disheveled" play in regular rotation on satellite radio. In his free time, Michael likes sleeping late and fettuccini, and loathes the sound of honking horns. While generally convivial, he is most fun after coffee.

    »The Two Gentlemen Of Verona

    September 20, 2014 8:00 PM

William Shakespeare’s comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona is generally considered his first written play. Drawn in part from Los Siete Libros de la Diana (The Seven Books of Diana) by the Portuguese writer Jorge de Montemayor, the play follows the two title characters as they journey from Verona to Milan and embark on a convoluted plot involving cross-dressing, a band of outlaws, and unrequited love. Although The Two Gentlemen of Verona is traditionally regarded as one of Shakespeare’s most immature comedies, it sets the stage for themes and tropes that Shakespeare would explore in more detail in his later works, such as cross-dressing, friendship, and impulsive and star-crossed love.

    »Educating Rita

    September 20, 2014 8:00 PM

Boozy and burned-out university professor Dr. Frank Bryant needs to earn some extra cash to support his expensive alcohol habit, so he agrees to tutor Rita, a brash, free-spirited young hairdresser trying desperately to better herself. The result is British playwright Willy Russell's delightful "Pygmalion"-style comedy "Educating Rita", with Frank playing Henry Higgins to Rita's modern-day Eliza Doolittle. Each has a profound effect on the other, opening up new possibilities for their lives. This touching and comical show explores the transformational nature of education -- which can often come from the most unlikely of teachers.
