    »A Familiar Visage

    September 19, 2014 8:00 PM

Inspired by three separate works written by master of the macabre Edgar Allan Poe ("The Murders in the Rue Morgue," "The Mystery of Marie Roget" and "The Purloined Letter"), this production marks the world premiere of the intriguing new mystery: "A Familiar Visage". Forlorn and reeling in the wake of a personal tragedy, a 19th-century American journalist is quick to accept an overseas assignment, if only for the distraction it will provide. But working with the world's first detective proves to be more than just a minor distraction. As one clue leads to another, these two find themselves unlocking an increasingly malevolent mystery that will keep them -- and you -- guessing until the very end.

    September 19, 2014 6:30 PM

When the California-based band Linkin Park burst on the scene in 2000 with its debut album, Hybrid Theory, the group was just another head in the congested pack of nu metal acts. However, as the band matured, it started to drift away from its rap-rock sound and into more easily accessible alternative rock sonic aesthetic.

Kansas-born singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge is a folk-rock artist with strong pop sensibilities who is best known for her hits of the mid-1990s, though she released her debut album in 1988. Her charismatic raspy croon and her confessional lyrics first captured the attention of mainstream audiences in 1993 when she released her album Yes I Am, just a few months after coming out publicly as a lesbian. The album featured the Grammy Award-winning song "Ain't It Heavy," and put her on the map as a soldier in the fight for not only LGBT rights, but also for women's rights among the wave of outspoken female singer/songwriters of the 1990s including Alanis Morissette and Jewel.
