»Kauffman House

Operated as a hotel, the Kauffman House is a pastoral log house in Grand Lake, Colorado. It was built in 1892 and successfully served as a hotel accommodation till around 1946. It was later reserved as a museum with volunteers sharing the history of the place with visitors. This vintage house is a perfect example of early residences in this neighborhood. The stereopticon photos in the museum are a must watch. The exhibition also features a variety of books, furniture, quilts and clothing.
