The St. Luke's Episcopal Church, also known as the Rock Church, is a historic church located in Eden, North Carolina. The stone church was constructed in 1926 by J.W. Hopper and Jim Chatham. The Mission Gothic architecture style construction also features some beautifully designed stained glass windows. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
Established in 1966, Rockingham Community College is where the North Carolina Community College System took birth. Spread across 266 acres (107.65 hectares), it features walking trails, the Apple Amphitheater, an avant-garde performance space, The Historical Village, educational structures and administrative offices.
Now included in the sprawling campus of Danville Science Center, the Danville Southern Pacific Railroad Depot was once a thriving rail depot. Visitors can explore this historical station that dates back to the 1890s era.
