Old Wye Church was established in 1721, and it represents the Georgian Anglican style of architectural design. Acknowledging its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
Christ Episcopal Church and Cemetery was established in 1883, and is one of the earliest Episcopal churches in the city. The magnificent church building was designed by renowned architect Charles Cassell and built in the Gothic Revival style. The cemetery sitting adjacent to the church houses the graves of some of Cambridge's most illustrious citizens.
The Dorchester County Historical Society is a reputed organization that aims to preserve the historical edifices and museums of the region. Besides offering guided tours to visitors, the society also hosts a variety of events all year round.
The St. Peter's Church is a historic church located in Queenstown, Maryland. Originally built in 1823, the church underwent modifications in 1877 and took on a more Victorian Gothic appearance with a cruciform layout and rose windows. The interiors retain the original features with beautiful stained glass windows. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
The St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic church located in Centreville, Maryland. The church complex includes the church building and an adjoining cemetery. The church was built in 1853 by architect Richard Upjohn in his trademark Carpenter Gothic style of architecture and features a steep roof and small bell tower. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
Bridgeville has the unique distinction of being amongst the oldest agricultural communities in the West Sussex region of Delaware.
