Al's Run is terrifying for even the most experienced skiers. Why, you ask? Several reasons. Firstly, this mega trail spans an area of 1800 feet (548.64 meters), it is also quite steep at several places. Most parts of the run are strewn with large moguls that can be prove to be the undoing of many skiers. As if this much life threatening danger wasn't enough, the trail runs directly beneath the Lift 1, meaning you can quite possibly crash into it if you fail to duck at the right time.
This 20-minute lift ride to the Angel Fire Resort's summit provides easy outdoor access to New Mexico's famed mountains. At an elevation of 10,677 feet the views are spectacular and, as rumor has it, have caused some visitors to pull hand muscles from snapping so many photos in rapid succession.
