The original golf course at this country club consisted of nine holes and was laid out by renowned architect, Alexander Findlay, in 1923. A second nine opened for play in 1926 and the present clubhouse was completed in 1931. Banquet facilities are available on site offering an old world setting for your next special occasion.

It was constructed from 1815 through 1827. It was however later closed down in 1947. The historical waterway is located along the Schuylkill River in Pennsylvania. It was a highly utilized avenue for transportation of bulk cargo. The two watered reaches that remain even today are under recreation. The site stands registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
