Built in the early 19th century, Old St. Vincent's Church stands tall as one of the oldest and significant religious structures in town. The facade of this quaint church is also intriguing for many architects and art connoisseurs. The church is involved in a lot of charity work and aims towards creating harmony and faith in the society. The interiors of the church are equally eclectic with tall archways and chandeliers. McKendree Chapel is a poplar log edifice of 1819. The chapel is located amidst a sylvan surrounding of oaks and maples. Added to the National Register of Historic Places, it is also included in the National Archives of the Methodist Church.
The Hanover Lutheran Church is a historic church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It was built for the increasing German migrant population in Missouri in 1887 and is a great example of Gothic style architecture. The church also includes a nearby structure that was used as a schoolhouse by the congregation. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, the Church has various ministries for children, youth, men, women and the aged.
