At just about a 45 minute drive from Seattle, the Summit at Snoqualmie is the closest place to the city to ski or board. Summit is essentially comprised of four different ski areas — Alpental, Summit West, Summit East and Summit Central — all with varying degrees of difficulty. Beginners are often found at Summit West, while the more adventurous might try Alpental. Summit Central offers lessons, equipment rentals and food, so you won't hit the slopes hungry if you start here.
Enjoy carnival rides, the PWRA rodeo, live music performances and thousands of 4-H exhibits. There will be plenty of food vendors available.
The Wenatchee AppleSox Baseball Club is part of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League. The AppleSox provide inexpensive family entertainment for baseball fans throughout North Central Washington. Contests for the fans, your favorite ballpark food and beverages, and special promotions throughout the season make a day at the ballpark something to remember. Founded in 1947, the Wenatchee Valley Symphony a number of concerts during their season at the Wenatchee High School Auditorium.
Alcoa's Ridge to River Relay is a six-leg relay race involving cross country skiing, downhill skiing/snowboarding, running, biking, kayak/canoeing and portage. Ridge to River is a fund raiser for the Retired Senior Volunteer Center of NCW, the local volunteer center and as many as 40 local non-profit groups.

Music Theatre of Wenatchee (MTW) has been providing community theatre since 1961. MTW brings a full season of entertainment to the Wenatchee Area, including hit comedies, melodramas and thrillers. The season culminates with their big spring musical production during Wenatchee's Apple Blossom Festival.
This smaller space makes for a unique experience when it comes to stand-up. Some big names breeze through, bringing together the worlds of fame and quaint.
The Gorge Amphitheater is one of the most stunning venues for a music concert. Panoramic visions of the Columbia River Gorge are all around the arena. Concert goers can watch performances by their idols and get a dose of natural beauty at the same time. The grassy ground slopes downwards towards the arena providing everyone with ample viewing opportunity. Sting, Busta Rhymes and Ringo Starr have graced the stage here. Camping facilities are also provided. The security is strict so check for banned items before you reach the venue.
Housed in a historic building, the Seasons Performance Hall is a multi-purpose venue. The classy interiors and modern amenities available here make it one of the most sought after venues.
