Be it music, arts or food, The Chattanooga Market will have some of the very best on offer. The market is a non-profit farmers' market that functions every Sunday, from April to December. It is held at the open-air First Tennessee Pavilion, and is known to attract large crowds every weekend. Besides promoting local farming and arts and crafts, the market also aims to promote community events, and does so by inviting bands to perform live every weekend.
The First Tennessee Pavilion is located adjacent to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium. The open-air pavilion is home to the Chattanooga Market, every Sunday from Spring through Summer as well as other major festivals and events. The tapas menu here is unparalleled, and will delight your senses as much as the lively jazz music. The menu changes frequently, but some standby favorites are ostrich, paella, Cajun veal chops and barbeque chicken-crawfish manicotti. The two-story dining room is accented with murals and grand pianos on each floor. Lanterns on each table provide gentle ambiance and odd cutaways and corners allow for quiet conversations. It's a marvelous environment in which to dine and relax. The kitchen and the musicians aren't the only stars here. The bar is THE spot for gathering with old friends or making some new ones.
