Near the tomb of Felix de Andreis is the chapel housing the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Here Masses are offered each month for members of the Association. Here, too, petitions from all over the country are placed near our Lady's Altar.
The Super Museum is a tribute to Superman, the much-loved fictitious super hero. Located in Superman’s home city, this museum is a mecca for fanatics of the American comic saga. Its entrance on Superman Square is impossible to miss, right across from the statue of the man himself. Owner Jim Hambrick has been collecting Superman-related items, memorabilia and novelties for over five decades. On display are over 20,000 pieces, some of which can be purchased as unique gifts and souvenirs.
Magnolia Manor, museum of Victorian settings, was the abode of the Galigher family. The owner, Charles A. Galigher, a successful Cairo trader was an associate of General Ulysses S. Grant. Managed by the Cairo Historical Association, this house museum represents a typical Southern Illinois style home of that era. The manor was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.
