    »Parc Jean-Drapeau

    Sometimes known as Parc des Iles, these two man-made islands in the St Lawrence River were created for Expo 67. They feature hiking, biking and roller blade paths (on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, site of the Montreal Grand Prix), recreational facilities and secluded picnic spots for the entire family. Other attractions include La Ronde amusement park, site of summer fireworks, the Casino de Montréal, the Stewart Museum and the Biosphere. Outdoor concerts are regular during the summer.

    »Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

    Montreal opens its doors to the adrenaline charged Formula 1 fans for the Canadian Grand Prix. The zigzag circuit is named after Canada's favorite driver, Gilles Villeneuve who died an untimely death in 1982. The circuit ranks as the only venue to hold both, the Formula 1 and CART races. The lap length spans 4.35 kilometers (2.703 miles). You can book your tickets in advance online from the website.

    Habitat '67 is a standing wave in the heart of Montreal. It gets its name from the iconic apartment complex that overlooks it. The waves are created due to the high speed of the water hitting boulders under surface giving rise to breaks as high as two meters (6.5 feet). It is a popular destination for adventure lovers.
