    »Cakes-n-Creams 50's Diner & Dessert Parlor

This popular sweet shop is a great place to visit after a show, or for that matter, any time your sweet tooth begins to ache. The interior is decorated in 1950s Americana, complete with a Wurlitzer jukebox. In addition to a variety of ice-cream, the shop sells pies, cobblers and cakes made with fresh fruit. However, the real draw here is the soda fountain, where dozens of flavors confound your ability to decide what you want. Hard ice cream is also available in more than 50 flavors, and the banana splits are excellent.

The menu is themed as well, featuring selections such as Cheese Release Me, a grilled cheese sandwich with all the trimmings for $5.29. Try the Love Me Tender Fried Steak for $8.59. A massive assortment of locally inspired dishes shares space on the vast menu with exotic entrees.
