Outdoor Activities

»South Bay Trail

When the government of Bellingham decided to convert their city into a green and eco-friendly place, they undertook the project of converting different abandoned railway tracks in the city into green walking and biking trails. The South Bay Trail was born out of this endeavour and soon became one of the most popular trail paths among the locals. One of the interesting features of this trail is that unlike the other green paths which run through woods, this one cuts through the city and connects some very important neighborhoods in the city. If you plan to explore the city on foot or go biking,  follow this trail and you will pass through several important tourist destinations even as you interact with the locals along the path and get to know their lifestyle.

»Greater Vancouver Zoo

Greater Vancouver Zoo is a great place for adults and children alike to know more about the animals, zoo environment and its impact in the natural world. The zoo's aim to become a world renowned zoological institute is seen in their animal and habitat conservations as well as educational activities. There have been animals who were rescued, rehabilitated and sent back to the wild, while some who have taken permanent residency here. Enclosures of various wild animals draws an awe inspiring sigh and respect from all visitors and reminds us of the need of conservation. Overall its an exciting place to take your kids along and to see them jumping with joy each time they see an animal is just worth it.
