Ride through an authentic 1800
Open to the public year round, the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia features a main gallery made up of four railroad boxcars, a central exhibit area which features an average of three different yearly exhibits, a planetarium, the Mountain Homestead, a log cabin, barn, schoolhouse, moonshine still, blacksmith shop, and a country store.
Fine art and instruction by West Virginia artists including original paintings, pottery, jewelry, wood turnings, sculpture, photography, prints and more.
Museum filled with uniforms, artifacts from the early days of the C&O Railway. Model train exhibit, tools used during the time of John Henry, the Steel Drivin' Man.
