This grand and historical homestead was once a plantation farm. Bennett Bunn, who inherited this land built a house that represents the Federal architecture style. This historical plantation is now transformed in to a splendid event venue that hosts weddings, corporate parties and similar events. This idyllic setting complete with well-manicured lawns, water features and a rustic feel makes it one of the most sought after venue in the vicinity.
The historic Kerr Lake State Recreation Area is a stupendous park site in North Carolina. The monumental North Carolina State Park is situated in Vance and Warren Counties. It approximately encompasses a mammoth 50,000 acre (202 square kilometers) man-made cover. The scenic lake and state park is a picturesque site, perfect for a recreational visit. It was founded and established in 1981 and its elevation lies at 318 foot (96.9 meters).
Located along the scenic Falls Lake, TPC Wakefield Plantation is a 18-hole, par 71 golf course. The course was designed by three-time United States Open Champion, Hale Irwin. Finished in 2000, the course soon became part of the US Professional Golfers of America (PGA) Tour hosting the annual Rex Hospital Open. There is a club store to repair or buy the ideal club. Also on the premises is a clubhouse to relax and socialize over a meal after a round of golf. The club also accommodates private parties and conferences, and every detail of the event (from catering to seating and decorating) is seen to.
Raven Rock State Park is located less than an hour outside of Fayetteville. This land is largely untouched by civilization, a forest of tall tress and beautiful woodlands. In addition to the nature trails, Raven Rock itself is certainly a sight to behold.
Clemmons Educational State Forest managed by the North Carolina Forest Service aims to provide ecological education through exhibits, self-guided trails and classes conducted by Rangers.
Raleigh Country Club is one place that every golfer must visit. This 18-hole golf course is a dream come true for every golfer with its complex and strategically located holes. The Club has an excellent golf teaching facility which will help amateurs improve their skills. The Club also has a golf shop, restaurant and an aquatic facility. Available for weddings, banquets, as well as other events.
Falls Lake State Recreational Area is a sprawling natural area right in the center of North Carolina that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The area was created in 1978 after the Army Corp of Engineers constructed a dam to prevent further flooding which damaged farmlands, roadways and other infrastructure in the area. Today, the park plays host to a large, boatable lake, several hiking trails, kayaking and canoeing and extensive mountain biking.
