The Children's Garden is a part of Leila Arboretum, located on Michigan Avenue, in Battle Creek. Covering about an acre (0.45 hectare), the garden offers a dynamic, ever-evolving setting midst which children of all ages can benefit from fun, outdoor learning. The place incorporates several vegetation sections wherein the little visitors are introduced to many plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables. As such, the Children's Garden at Leila Arboretum is available for educational workshops, field trips, programs and lots more. The Springbrook Golf Course may be a nine-hole golf course but it is filled with interesting obstacles which makes it as difficult as any 18-hole course. There are quite a few ups and downs in this course which makes for some good exercise if you are to walk. However, a golf cart is available on rent to take you around the course as well. If you are a member of the course, you can take your own cart. The clubhouse has a bar and grill which serves delicious food for the hungry golfer after a game.

When it opened in 1963, Binder Park Golf Course was the only 18-hole golf course in all of Michigan. The park is surrounded by nature with scenic bluffs, pristine forest land with old trees, wetlands and changing land formations created due to deposits from glacial ice. It was later expanded so that it now has as many as 27 holes. The park has its own clubhouse which provides food and drinks. There are several facilities which makes the experience here smoother and more interesting including a driving range, a teaching center, a putting green, sand bunker areas, a three-hole practice area and an indoor training center. Fort Custer Recreation Area comprises of a huge recreation area, that features the Kalamazoo River, and at least four lakes- Eagle, Jackson, Lawler and Whitford, wetlands, lush meadows and lots more. As such, it offers a plethora of fun, outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, golfing, swimming, fishing, skiing and lots more. Established as a recreation area in 1971, Fort Custer Recreation Area is also home to a rich wildlife, that includes rare animal and bird species such as Blanchard's cricket frog, eastern box turtle, bittern, waterfowl and moorhens, to name a few.
Enjoy tobogganing and ice skating at this venue that features eight 60-mph toboggan runs, a 43,000 square foot outdoor skating rink, innertubing hills, and a clubhouse with fireplace and snack bar. Toboggans are furnished free. Skate rentals are available.
Eastern Hills Golf Course features 27 holes and is open to the public through the year. The well-maintained grounds are known to host both amateur and pro tournaments. Built in 1974, Wings Stadium has been home to the Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League since the 2000-01 season. The venue also offers a full range of entertainment, including concerts, professional hockey, family shows and trade shows. The building capacity is 8,023 with seating capacity for hockey at 5,113.
