The Texas-based blues rock outfit ZZ Top rose to prominence in the early 1970s with its dirty brand of southern rock and wailing guitar solos. After releasing its 1971 debut album, fittingly titled ZZ Top's First Album, the band established its raw, earthy sound and attitude with fuzzy guitars and rollicking rhythms. Each of the band's subsequent releases throughout the decade earned critical acclaim and a fair amount of radio play, proving that the three-piece band's Texas drawls and dirty jokes resonated with fans outside of the Lone Star State. ZZ Top continues to release its bluesy southern rock music and remains one of the most easily identifiable acts around with two of its three members sporting bushy, chest-length beards.

The Black Jacket Symphony is a concert series that breathes new life into classic rock albums from artists like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac. Made up of two sets, each show offers a true symphonic rendition of the chosen album, followed by a more laid-back contemporary offering complete with a light show and all the flare of a true rock concert.

Auburn University is a public university based out of Auburn, Alabama that was chartered onFebruary7th, 1856. The Tigers are the name of the various sports teams that compete for the university in the Southeastern Conference of the NCAA Division I. Though Auburn plays host to quintessential sports teams such as basketball, baseball and football, the school's swimming and diving teams have distinguished themselvesmultipletimes over, winning national titles and building a reputation as one of the moreformidableswim and diveorganizationsin the country.

Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University is a public research university based out of College Station, Texas that was founded in 1876. The Aggies are the sports teams that compete for the university in NCAA Division I. The teams' moniker, "Aggies," is a nod to the rich agriculture programs that have helped propel the university to a respectable place within Texas and the larger academically-minded agriculture community. Though the school's athletic department plays host to a wide variety of sports, it is probably best known for its football program.

The Alabama State Hornets are the teams that compete on behalf of Alabama State University in the NCAA's Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference. Based out of Montgomery, Alabama, the Hornets have a proven track record of producing players who are able to perform admirably in the heat of battle and win games for their school. Though the university hosts a number of sports teams, such as bowling and volleyball, it is probably best known for its baseball, basketball and football teams.

Nicknamed the Snakes, the Columbus Cottonmouths is a professional ice hockey team from Columbus, Georgia. Founded in 1996, the team competes in the Southern Professional Hockey and plays its home games at the Columbus Civic Center.
