Catch a performance at this experimental theatre, which presents the audience with new ideas including classic musicals, comedies and dramas but with a twist. The troupe also introduces new playwrights to the public in support of alternative theatre. The season consists of approximately five performances. Situated on Atlantic Beach, and just a few blocks from Atlantic Boulevard and A1A in the beaches area. The season begins in mid-September.

Players-By-The-Sea, Jacksonville Beach's own talented troupe of community players, consists of volunteer performers who produce about six productions throughout the year. This group has been around for nearly 30 years and is housed in a nondescript building; do not be fooled; inside there is magic and high drama! The Lazzara Performance Hall at the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center is a 1,000-seater hall named after Gasper and Irene Lazzara, who have contributed a larger sum towards the hall via donations. It is one of the best performance venues technically and has staged many great pieces and artists, both seasoned as well students.
