»Hanson Howard Gallery

Hanson Howard Gallery is one of the oldest galleries in town. Established by Judy Howard in 1979, it showcases over 40 local artists from across the northwest, some of whom who have been featured here since its inception. Monthly exhibitions of fine and contemporary art represent a plethora of media and styles - from abstract work to landscape art, on canvas, print, ceramic and sculpture. Some of the names on their line-up include Ken Grant, Vince Carl, Wayne Armstrong, Marie Maretska and Sue Yamins.

»Aalto Gallery

Located in a National Historic Landmark Building that was built in 1908, this gallery offers first class exhibition space for a variety of events, as well as, for nationally and regionally noted artists. Monthly changing exhibitions include contemporary paintings, sculptures, and mixed media works.

»JEGA Gallery & Sculpture Garden, Inc.

The JEGA Gallery & Sculpture Gardens, Inc. is not your typical art gallery. Nestled in a historic Ashland neighborhood, it is a triplex building that doubles up as a residence and working studio for artists. Designed and built by J. Ellen Austin, it showcases her creations as well as that of local talent from the Rogue Valley such as Jason Bueter, Dawn Ferrari, Daniel Verner and Ingo Wedde. Visual and contemporary work on display include paintings, photography, and sculpture in stone, bronze, ceramic and metal.

»Schneider Museum of Art

Named after Bill and Florence Schneider because of their generous donation, the Schneider Museum of Art is associated with the Southern Oregon University. The artistic local community in Ashland realized that the performing arts were flourishing but the visual arts were mostly stagnant, and this led to the establishment of the museum. Though there is no admission charge as such, donations are heartily encouraged. Check the website for a list of specific workshops, concerts, lectures and family fun days!
