Sara Lynn Evans is an American country singer and songwriter. Evans was one of the few traditional-styled singers to emerge from Nashville in the late 1990s. Since emerging in the late 1990s, Evans has made five No. 1 Country hits and Gold and Platinum-certified albums by the RIAA, like 2003's "Restless" and 2005's "Real Fine Place." The Northwestern State Demons represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A member of the NCAA's Division I, the school competes in the Southland Conference. Northwestern State supports a variety of men's and women's sports programs, including basketball, baseball, cross country, soccer, tennis, volleyball and more. In 2006, the university's men's basketball team earned the spotlight when it stunned Iowa in the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The win was the first ever earned by a #16 seed in the tournament's history.

The O'Jays is an R&B group from Canton, Ohio that has since been inducted into several renowned music halls of fame since for its contributions to the R&B genre since forming in 1963. Following the group's first major hit, "Back Stabber," which helped The O'Jays to gain a firm foothold on the Philadelphia soul scene in the early 1970s, was followed up by the groups internationally renowned hit "Love Train" in 1973. Since then, The O'Jays have maintained a fairly successful recording and performance career throughout the decades, and continue to perform with the same vim and vigor the trio's fans have come to expect.

An NCAA Division I school, the university competes in the Southland Conference. Popular men's and women's sports at Central Arkansas include basketball, baseball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball. NBA Hall of Fame player Scottie Pippen is one of the university's more notable alumni.
