While Katherine Duer Mackay initiated this ambitious reconstruction, renowned architect Stanford White designed the building and it is one of his last architectural works. Working closely with Katherine and White was gifted artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, who gave the church an artistic look complete with splendid stained glass windows. This beautiful and historic structure was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Presently, the church continues to spread the message of the Lord and strive for the community, and in a bid to accomplish these goals, it hosts lectures, workshops and other events regularly.
